Summary

A Bronze Age socketed axehead, Roman pottery, a Roman coin, a Middle Saxon brooch and medieval and post-medieval metal finds including French jettons and a post-medieval figurine of a lady raising her skirts found during metal-detecting. In 2009, a fieldwalking survey was undertaken by the Caistor Roman Project that recovered late prehistoric flints, medieval and post-medieval metal sherds. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins, a Late Saxon strap distributor, medieval/post-medieval buckle and post-medieval button.

February 1992. Metal detecting finds southern part of field.
Amongst much post medieval material.
Early Nuremberg jetton Dauphine type AS Mitchiner 20.1. 1480s-1490s.
French jetton with Roman lettering. Louis XII - Francis I, 1497-1547. Reverse. simple cross with flower in each angle. Obverse. illegible type.
