Metal detecting and fieldwalking between 1990 and 2008 recovered a wide range of objects, including a Late Bronze Age hammerhead and spear tip, Iron Age pottery fragments, Roman coins, objects and pottery fragments, medieval objects and post medieval objects and coins.

Full description

January 1990. Metal detecting. Thirteen Roman coins, see coin list in file.
Three strand cable bracelet fragment, D section, 4th century.
Roman steelyard, three holes (one part extant) at fulcrum end. Spindle round sectioned arm with no visible gradations, terminating in loop.
Identified by D. Gurney (NAU). (S1).

Late Bronze Age socketed hammerhead and spearhead tip. Bronze Age casting plug, (S1 and S2).
Identified by J. Wymer (NAU).

Medieval D shaped buckle.
Medieval heart shaped buckle (compare with Fishpool hoard) 15th century. Identified by S.M.Margeson (NCM).

Found on the same date but brought in later.
About thirty Roman grey sherds; six Roman oxidised; one Samian; two coarse early Roman sherds.
One gritty Iron Age? sherd. One medieval glazed Grimston, three medieval unglazed.
