Summary

Metal detecting at this location in 1989 recovered a Middle Saxon brooch made from copper alloy. The brooch took the form of an equal-armed cross with expanded arms, with cast grooved decoration and a faint central boss.

Full description

1989. Found with metal detector.
Bronze brooch in form of equal-armed cross with expanded arms, cast grooved decoration and faint central boss.
Broken pin-lug and catch-plate. Pin missing. Probably Middle Saxon. Very similar to site NHER 24909 at Hindringham number 10 and to site NHER 21165 at Shotesham.
