Name:Late Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval finds

Summary

Fieldwalking in 1981 recovered medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds along with bits of modern glass and tile. Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2015 recovered an undated quern stone fragment; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and undated, Late Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age spearhead fragment; a Roman brooch, nail, furniture fitting and harness pendant; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and a post-medieval furniture fitting, harness mount and spur.

27 September 1981. Fieldwalking by Wacton Field Group (NRC). [1].
Six medieval unglazed.
Seven late medieval/Trans.
Fifteen glazed red earthenware.
One lava quern fragment.
Three post medieval stoneware.
Also natural flints.
Recent glass.
Tile etc.
