Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1981 recovered sherds of medieval and post medieval pottery along with bits of modern glass and tile. Later, in 2003-04, metal detecting retrieved a post medieval silver strap fitting or dress mount, three Roman coins, a Late Bronze Age spearhead fragment and a medieval buckle. In 2008 a number of Medieval and Post-Medieval coins and metal objects were recovered. Metal detecting in 2010 recovered 2 Roman, 2 medieval and 4 post-medieval coins and post-medieval token.

Full description

27 September 1981. Fieldwalking by Wacton Field Group (NRC).
Six medieval unglazed.
Seven late medieval/Trans.
Fifteen glazed red earthenware.
One lava quern fragment.
Three post medieval stoneware.
Also natural flints.
Recent glass.
Tile etc.
