Summary
In 1951 four posts laid out in a square were found set into Luddington's Gravel Pit, near to a set of hut circles. The fill enclosed by the four posts contained loose soil and debris as well as Roman pottery and bones. At the time it was thought that it might be a Roman privy.

Full description
1951. Gravel pit.
Near hut circles found, four posts set 90cm (3 feet) apart in a square going down into shale below gravel. Filled with loose soil and debris and Roman pottery and bones. ? privy, bad smell - destroyed.

KLM 1993.688 includes flints and undated pottery from 'Wallington 15 March' from same source; this may also belong to sites NHER 2405 or NHER 2418.
