Full description

1959. Gravel pits.
3rd to 4th century sherds, see for comparison Runcton Holme in (S1).
Also bone and pieces of wood which pit owner said 'looked like a boat' when first uncovered in 1957 or 1958 but tramp made fire of them soon after. Some pieces had peg holes in.

This record has been related to Luddington's Gravel pit, NHER 2405, as the modern map shows the gravel pit to be significantly larger than recorded in the polygon for NHER 2405.
