Summary
Metal detecting in this area, which is close to the site of a Roman villa (NHER 11008), has recovered a large number of Roman metal objects, including personal adornments, coins, and fittings. Pottery sherds dating to the Iron Age to post medieval periods have also been recovered.

1982. Across Roman road from villa site - Context 2 at grid reference. Found with metal detector. [1]
Bronze bracelet fragment.
Bronze tweezers (incomplete).
Bronze belt-stiffener or harness mount.
Bronze stud with square ridged plate.
Bronze razor fragment.
Bronze disc with central boss, mount from furniture? 3rd century.
