Summary

A Roman greyware jar rim and a Roman coin were found here in 1991 and subsequent metal-detecting and fieldwalking between 2009 and 2015 recovered a Neolithic incomplete flint axehead; further sherds of Roman pottery; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman finger ring and buckle; medieval and post-medieval buckles; a medieval copper alloy finger ring; a medieval/post-medieval lead button and an undated unidentifiable object.
