Full description

1976. Found by metal detecting in ploughsoil.
Early Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch, bent when found, and broken subsequently by finder in attempting to straighten it.
(S1) in file.
A. Gregory (NAU) 10 December 1980.

A. Rogerson (NAU) points out that from (S1) this is clearly the same object as that formerly numbered NHER 14545.

This was located by A. Gregory (NAU) 13 February 1979 as found at [1].

NHER 14545 was noted as found in 1976, which must be the correct date and not 1980 as formerly on this card, as the original record was made in 1979.
E. Rose (NAU) 29 February 1989.
