Summary

The river now runs along the southern arm of a double moated site, which has low rectangular mounds within the island that may be the buried remains of a manor house and other buildings. On the other side of the river are a number of ditched enclosures that were probably part of the manorial complex. Prehistoric flint flakes and pot boilers have been found on the site.
