NHER Number:13096
Type of record:Monument
Name:Cropmarks of undated trackway and enclosure along with multi-period objects

Summary

Aerial photographs of this location that were taken in 1996 show the cropmarks of rectilinear enclosures, linear features and a possible trackway (see NHER 49508 and NHER 49509). No dates were assigned to these features but metal detecting on site recovered a number of small finds including a medieval horse harness mount, a post medieval token and several Roman coins. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, medieval and post-medieval artefacts including a medieval furniture fitting and a post-medieval lead weight. Metal-detecting in 2011 recovered two post-medieval tokens as well as a medieval strap fitting, buckle and ampulla; medieval/post-medieval harness stud and a post-medieval buckle and crotal bell.
