Summary

In 1973 and 1983 a collection of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds were recovered from the ground surface here. Metal-detecting between 2012 and 2014 recovered Roman and medieval coins as well as a Roman lead steelyard weight, a medieval strap-end and a medieval/post-medieval knife end-cap.

1973. 'Found on headland'.
Base sherd, buffware flagon
Information from NCM card.

1983. Found when using metal detector.
Two Roman greyware sherds, four medieval unglazed sherds, lead-glazed earthenware sherds.
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU).

December 2012. Metal-detecting. Site extended to whole field. [2].
