Mileham Castle is an impressive earthwork, and a fine example of a motte and bailey castle. The land surrounding the monument, and the moat, is managed in the interests of wildlife. There are some splendid views from the castle mound itself, and the whole site offers opportunities for some very pleasant short walks.
