September 1959.
Fragments of three or four Roman pots found at junction of Plumstead Road East and Witard Road around 12 foot (3.7m) south of front door of Baptist Church in cutting trench for drain at depth of 2 foot (0.6m)
Investigated R. R. Clarke and D. R. Howlett (NCM).
