Summary

This church was built around 1300 and was extended in the 15th century and reduced in the 18th century. The south porch is in Perpendicular style and is a particularly good example. There is a medieval stone cross close to the south porch in the churchyard.

Full description

Basically about 1300, extended in the 15th century and drastically reduced in the 18th. Cross in yard.

Church listed Grade II*, cross II.
Cross in yard scheduled 1998.

Church basically of the late 13th or early 14th century, now represented by base of tower, walls and sedilia. Raised in height, given new windows and ornate porch in late 15th century. North aisle and chapel demolished and replaced by brickwork, east wall rebuilt, in late 18th century. Roof of 1890.
Contains important reredos said to be from Gunton, and reset stained glass.
