Summary
An archaeological evaluation carried out before residential development recorded a few undated pits and a large clay extraction pit. Finds from the clay extraction pit suggest it had gone out of use during the medieval period.

Full description
May 2005. Trial Trenching.
Two trenches excavated in the footprints of proposed residential dwelling. Contexts 1-31.
A few small pits of an uncertain date were found in the northern part of the site, whilst to the south was a large clay extraction pit. The earliest fills of this feature contained several sherds of medieval pottery and glazed floor tile fragments.
