Summary

This pumping station was constructed in 1927. It was upgraded in 1930 and replaced in 1938 by two diesel driven engines and pumps. It was converted to electricity in 1967 but the old engines were retained until 1998.

Full description

Constructed 1927 with a McLaren-Benz driving a Gill pump; upgraded 1930; replaced 1938 by two Allen diesels driving Allen pumps. Converted to electricity 1967 but old engines retained until 1998.
