Around 1982. Metal-detecting.
Various objects found by [1] at unknown locations on East Harling river bank.

A number of these finds were subsequently donated to Thetford Museum, including:
26 medieval buckles (THEHM : 1988.111).
6 medieval thimbles (THEHM : 1988.114).
1 medieval horse harness pendant (THEHM : 1988.116).
1 medieval purse bar (THEHM : 1988.120).
21 medieval and post-medieval buttons (THEHM : 1988.113).
16 medieval and post-medieval harness rings (THEHM : 1988.117).
1 post-medieval penknife (THEHM : 1988.121).
7 post-medieval lead shot (THEHM : 1988.115).
2 post-medieval clay pipe fragments (THEHM : 1988.118).

See list in file. According to this list an Early Saxon brooch was also amongst the objects found, although this does not appear in the museum's records and no other details are recorded.
