Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2012 recovered a Neolithic flint adze; Romano-British, Late Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins plus a 9th century coin minted in Baghdad; medieval and post-medieval jettons and Middle Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch; an Early Saxon brooch; a Middle Saxon polyhedral headed pin plus a fragment of globular headed pin; a Late Saxon hooked tag; medieval dress accessories, a coin weight and signet ring; medieval/post-medieval vessel fragments and a lead weight and post-medieval dress accessories and a fragment of candlestick.
