After 1967. Surface find.
Neolithic polished flint axehead.
P. A. Robins (NCM) writes:
Dimensions 165 x 69 x 34mm. Rounded cutting edge at broadest point in the axe body. Minimal polish on high spots only, with one point where the polish extends to the cutting edge, which is otherwise flaked (possibly re-sharpened). Edge is sharp and undamaged. Lateral edges straight and sharp: butt with flat facet. Pale grey patinated flint with large coarse grained grit inclusion, some streaky iron staining.
Donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2003.59.4).
