Full description

25 June 1996. NLA air photography.
Large ring ditch or circular enclosure.
H. Clare (NLA), 3 September 2001.

October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmark of a ring ditch is visible on NLA oblique aerial photographs from 1996 (S1). It is centred on TG 0978 4174 and measured approximately 32m in diameter. The ditch is 1m wide and the northern arc is not visible, this may be due to geological masking of the feature. This ring ditch is likely to relate to a Bronze Age barrow site and is likely to be a ploughed out element of the dispersed cemetery on Salthouse heath (eg. NHER 6200-6).
S. Massey (NMP), 19 December 2002.
