An archaeological evaluation and excavation carried out before a swimming pool was dug recorded a Neolithic pit, a 13th or 14th century ditch, pit and gully, a medieval gully and a post medieval pit.

Full description

January 2001. Trial Trench and Excavation.
Evaluation and subsequent excavation prior to construction of swimming pool at Langley Grange.
Recorded a Neolithic pit and medieval and post medieval pits and gullies.
See report (S1) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2). The prehistoric pit is also noted in (S3).
