Summary
This post medieval brick kiln was last used in 1909 and is now overgrown by trees. It may have been built in 1738 when W. Saddleton was contracted land at Gayton Thorpe for a brick kiln providing he also made pantiles.

Full description
Brick kiln. Last worked around 1909. Examples of bricks in Bridewell. Seen by B. Yates (NMA), 4 May 1972.

Marked on (S3). The site has now been planted with thickset pine trees and is impenetrable.
