Summary

An archaeological evaluation at this site in 1998 found evidence of shallow pits, a ditch and a possible hearth. Finds included Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age pottery sherds together with worked flints which suggest the site was prehistoric in date, fairly extensive and was used throughout later prehistory. There is no evidence for Roman, Saxon or medieval use of the site.
