Summary
Three prehistoric flint flakes were found on the edge of this field in 1997. Metal-detecting in 2017 recovered Late Saxon to medieval pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins, a post-medieval jetton; and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval thimble; a medieval/post-medieval scabbard chape; post-medieval buckles, a book fitting, a furniture hinge plate and a dress hook.

Full description
April 1997. Found casually along edge of arable field. [1].
3 undatable prehistoric worked flints:
Retouched flake (?hollow scraper).
Long narrow flake with a shallow concave right edge formed by ventral retouch. The left edge is worn.
Two unmodified flakes.
Identified by P. Robins (NCM).

3 Late Saxon Thetford ware sherds.
2 medieval coins, a pottery sherd, buckles, and a thimble.
1 medieval/post-medieval buckle and a scabbard chape.
1 post-medieval coin, 1 jetton, buckles, a book fitting, a furniture hinge plate and a dress hook.
