A large mid 16th century timber framed house, with 18th century alterations and a 19th century Gothic porch. The house was clearly an important and high status building in the 16th century.

Basically a high quality mid 16th century house.
Present plan is half H shaped but the wings may not be original.
Altered around 1800 when new roof placed on top of old, walls raised and new windows inserted.
Gothic porch added in about 1890.
In 1960s a central section of the house was cut away and wings added.
