Full description

1970. Stray Find.
Found on surface of ploughed field, close to 'pot boiler' site (less than 50yds [45m]):
1 prehistoric modified pebble. Quartzite, perforated, signs of battering on ends. Macehead. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1971.660). Information from (S1).
This discovery was first reported in (S2). Listed as potentially Mesolithic in (S3) although it should be noted that objects of this type are generally not seen as closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
