Summary

Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric worked flints and pieces of Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pot. The Roman pot included high status Nene Valley ware and samian. The number of finds suggests this may be a small Roman settlement.

May 1994. Fieldwalking finds. 'Hargham' field 50.
Roman sherds, including Samian and Nene Valley.
Late Saxon, medieval sherds.

(S1) records as a small Roman site to the north of old Buckenham stream. Much of the pottery was heavily abraded.
