Summary

Possible earthworks of a Bronze Age round barrow could be seen on an aerial photograph. A survey of the site identified no earthworks and suggested the mounds were natural features. Roman pottery fragments have been found at the site.

1988. NCC/BKS vertical survey of Norfolk.
Possible earthworks of ?ring ditch visible.

January 1993. Earthwork survey.
Seven unglazed Roman pottery sherds including one rim in location shown as slight mound on air photographs.
Now ploughed. No form to apparent natural undulations.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA) 12 February 1993.
B. Cushion (NLA), 2 February 1993.

February 1993. Metal detecting.
Produced nothing.
One samian sherd.
One jar rim, one base and five base sherds Roman greyware.
