Summary

Metal-detecting and fieldwalking between 1991 and 2005 recovered prehistoric flints, a whetstone, quern fragment, and architectural fragment; animal and mollusca remains; undated, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds, and post-medieval brick fragments; Roman and post-medieval coins; and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Saxon box mount and furniture fitting; a medieval buckle, cauldron fragment, harness, silver annular brooch, jug, strap fitting and vessel fragment; and a post-medieval coin weight.
