Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric worked flints and fragments of medieval and post medieval pottery. A windmill is recorded as being 'lately situated' here in 1653.

March 1986. Hales Survey, Heckingham site 48.
Rough ploughed and well weathered, good conditions.

Two scrapers, one blade.
Four medieval unglazed.
Eight post medieval to recent.

In this area (southeast of parish, east of Raveningham to Nockham (Nogdam End) road) a wind mill 'lately situated' in 1653. On other side of road were fields called Millfield in Suddixe Went (1616) and Millacre in Highfield (1697).
