Full description
March 1984. Stray Find.
'Surface find in field'. Finder gave location as [1], but this location is in centre of Cut Off Channel! Did he mean east berm of channel, or the other side of the railway?
Neolithic flint axe, ginger brown flint; chipped and polished and working end. Length 17cm; width 5cm at blade, narrowing to point of 1cm at butt. Top face more rounded than lower. See drawing (S1).
