Full description

March 1984. 'Surface find in field'
Finder gave location as 6040 0425, but this location is in centre of Cut Off Channel! Did he mean east berm of channel, or the other side of the railway?
Neolithic flint axe, ginger brown flint; chipped and polished and working end. Length 17cm; width 5cm at blade, narrowing to point of 1cm at butt. Top face more rounded than lower.
