Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting between 1983 and 2014 recovered a concentration of medieval and undated pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and jetton and Early Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Early Saxon small-long brooch; a Late Saxon brooch, a box or stirrup mount and an unusual lead model of a strap-end; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval lead ampulla, harness mount and horseshoe and a post-medieval bar mount from a harness.

Pottery concentration east of that previously recorded in NHER 18454.
Bodysherd of handmade gritty ware, undatable.
Twenty six medieval unglazed including jar rim.
Two bodysherds probably glazed Grimston.
One bodysherd medieval glazed, not Grimston.
