Summary

Several undated linear features and field boundaries can be seen as positive crop marks on aerial photographs of this site. Metal-detecting in 1999 and 2012 recovered
Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as Middle Saxon, Middle/Late Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Middle Saxon copper alloy pin; a Middle/Late Saxon strap-end; a Late Saxon zoomorphic stirrup terminal; medieval dress accessories, a lamp hanger and a harness pendant; a medieval/post-medieval foot from a copper alloy cooking vessel and post-medieval dress accessories, the end-cap from a scale-tang knife, a harness mount, a crotal bell and a cloth seal with the coat of arms of Norwich.
