October 1981 (or earlier). Fieldwalking. Hales Survey.
Field south of earthworks:
12 medieval pottery sherds (unglazed).
1 undatable pottery sherd (oxidised).
7 peg roof tile fragments

1 Mesolithic flint axehead. Damaged cutting edge, triangular section and untrimmed butt. See drawing (S2).
Medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds.
Undatable lava quern fragments.

Information from (S1). It is noted that the axehead is not the same object as a Neolithic chisel seen by J. J. Wymer - this is from NHER 17780 despite what was entered on an earlier version of this record card.
