Summary

This is the site of a windmill that is marked on various old maps. It began life as a smock mill but was converted into a brick tower mill by 1859. The sails blew off in 1920 and the mill was burnt down between 1922 and 1927.

Full description

Site of wind mill.
Marked on (S1) but not on (S2). Sails blown off 1920. Burnt down between 1922-7.

Despite the omission from (S2), there was a smock mill here in 1828, which had become a brick tower mill by 1859.
