Summary

A medieval parish church, dating mainly to the 14th and 15th centuries, and which was restored by Ewan Christian in the mid 19th century. The church contains an elaborate 14th or 15th century font, which has been much defaced.

Full description

Early English chancel; Decorated and Perpendicular work.
North aisle and outstanding roof of 1875.

Traces of ironbound conglomerate in south wall of chancel.
14th century chancel with two Y tracery south windows. Decorated north window has a priest's door in the base.
19th century piscina in chancel.
15th century nave with tall Perpendicular windows, south porch with ogee headed niches.
14th or 15th century octagonal stone font with 8 standing female figures with children, 4 multilated beasts, roses and angels, as well as seated figures of priests, bishops and doctors, which have all been defaced.
Restored by Ewan Christian in the mid 19th century.
