THE CENTRAL GRID REFERENCE FOR THE SITE HAS BEEN ALTERED FROM TM 4752 9379 TO TM 4753 9379. THE ENCLOSURE PREVIOUSLY LISTED UNDER THIS NUMBER IS NOW RECORDED WITHIN NHER 16005 AND IS PART OF A ROMAN SETTLEMENT AND FIELD SYSTEM.

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The enclosure previously listed under this number is now recorded within NHER 16005 and is considered to be part of a Roman settlement and field system, which surrounds the location of the ring ditch. Another Bronze Age round barrow site is located 950m to the northwest (NHER 44879).

The ring ditch is centred on TM 4753 9379 and is 30m in diameter. The southern arc of the ring ditch is not visible due to the presence of cropmarks former post medieval field boundaries. The size of the ring ditch, and the fact that it appears to sit in the path of two Roman ditches, would suggest that it is not a round house associated with the settlement.
S. Massey (NMP), 24 July 2006.
