Summary

Excavations ahead of gravel quarrying revealed a group of Late Neolithic/Eary Bronze Age pits and post holes. Pottery and worked flint artefacts were recovered.

April to June 1980. Excavation.
Excavation within area of Bittering Pit after stripping by quarry machine.
Complex of pits and ditches containing Beaker pottery and worked flint.
