This windmill was first marked on maps in the late 1800s. It was built as a post mill and then rebuilt as a tower mill in 1856. It was last worked by wind in 1932. It has five storeys with original windows and some internal machinery.

Full description

Wind mill.
First marked on (S1).
Post mill, rebuilt as tower 1856. Last worked by wind 1932, but engine 1943.
(S2) in 1983 says with datestone and RD for Richard Dewing Cap frame and windshaft removed; machinery from wallower and sack hoist to stones and vats intact. Five floors, original windows at intervals.
