This is the site of Hardley Mill, an early 19th century drainage mill and predecessor of NHER 10358 to the north. It is marked here on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition one inch map of circa 1836 but had been removed by the later 19th century.

Site of Hardley Mill
Marked on (S1).
E. Rose (NAU), 26 March 1980.

The mill was gone by (S2) and a new site (dated 1874) established to the north (NHER 10358).
A. Yardy (HES), 21 November 2011.
