Summary

Fragments of post medieval pottery including a glazed pipkin (saucepan) handle, brick, and clay pipe were found on the surface of this field in 1977. Metal-detecting in 2018 recovered a Late Iron Age coin.

Full description

1977. Surface scatter. [1].
Ten body sherds and eight rims of lead glazed earthenware (17th/18th century). Also one glazed pipkin handle and tile fragment.
Brick; clay pipe stem and late dark glass.

October-November 2018. Metal-detecting. Site extended to the whole field. [2].
1 Late Iron Age coin, a silver unit of the Iceni.
