July 1978.
Atlas Aggregates gravel pit.
In east face - from fill of pit cut into natural gravel?
Iron Age hand made sherds including 3 rims and several fineware body sherds with high burnish. 3rd to 2nd century BC?
Also tap slag.
NCM 1978.
