Summary

A medieval rectangular moat can be seen on this site. A large pillar of mortared flint nearby may be the corner of a building, perhaps a gatehouse for the moated site, and is related to earthworks that can be seen around it. The present hall was built in 1532 by Mr Berry. It was considerably altered in the 17th century.
