The displays chart the changing use of the building over time and explore the history of Crime and Punishment from the medieval period up to the present day. The history of this unique building and its place in the centre of the Borough's life has been re-interpreted in a series of new displays. Visitors will be able to listen to a sound guide which will bring to life some of the stories of the characters associated with the Tolhouse.
