Edward Daniell's drawing 'Bure Bridge, Aylsham'.

BURE BRIDGE, AYLSHAM (previously called Burgh Bridge), Edward Thomas Daniell, 1827

Signed and dated E. T.D. 1827.

The watercolour and the etching have been known and exhibited as Burgh Bridge, Aylsham. However Burgh is two miles south of Aylsham; its bridge was of a double span and Aylsham Church spire is not visible from it. It is properly Bure Bridge at Millgate, Aylsharn. The building was in 1826 the Anchor Inn and is still standing.
