Overstrand, Railway Bridge - Peter Owen

Pin-hole camera photograph of Overstrand Railway Bridge by Peter Owen.

Overstrand Railway Bridge. (© P. Owen.)

The old bridge has great charm and is part of the history of the village. The railway used to run from Cromer to North Walsham 1906 – 1953. There are tales of a ghost dog that is said to walk the old line.

By using a pinhole camera I find I am able to capture an image that has an inherent sense of time and place. The softness that is intrinsic to pinhole photography offers the viewer more to consider and helps to slow down the perception of the photograph.
