Record Details

NHER Number:8506
Type of record:Monument
Name:Roman building remnants and wall, Mill Hill Gardens

Summary

Excavations conducted at this site during the period 1932-61 recovered a considerable amount of Roman pottery and animal bone along with Roman brooches. Subsequent work in 1965 recorded Roman building material and possible Roman walls. All this evidence strongly suggests the presence of a domestic building here during the Roman era.
