1962. 'Found in ditch at edge of a field near Thornage Hall'. Found when ditching.
Bronze follis of Diocletian issued AD 310; reverse reads: GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, mint uncertain.
Identified by R. A. G. Carson of the British Museum.

This find was formerly wrongly entered at 051 365 because wrongly stated to have been found in garden of donor. Corrected by Mrs Roberts 1983.
