Summary
In 1871 a Roman jar of the 'Litlington' type was found in Thetford. This jar had some sort of deposit on the outside and contained a bird bone.

1871. Site not recorded.
Jar of 'Litlington' type but rather slender, in grey ware - deposit on outside (used for cooking) bird bone inside (note by C. Fox).
Held by Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography, formerly part of the Coke Ambrose Collection.
